Black Hill Kindergarten

The Program

Black Hill Kindergarten provides a supportive, nurturing environment for children to learn through play.  We provide positive experiences in a safe and stimulating environment that will encourage children to work towards their capabilities under the Victorian Early Years Learning Framework.

This Framework uses five outcomes to describe the key elements of children’s learning and development.  These are:
  • Identity - Children have a strong sense of identity.
  • Community - Children are connected with and contribute to their world.
  • Wellbeing - Children have a strong sense of wellbeing.
  • Learning - Children are confident and involved learners.
  • Communication - Children are effective communicators.
The Black Hill Kindergarten and Black Hill Primary School are amalgamated.  In addition to the management and administrative support, the Kindergarten gains valuable curriculum information and use of the schools facilities.  We have regular visits to the school, and have a Buddy program in place, which gives the incoming Prep children an older friend at the school and eases their transition to primary school.

The Black Hill Kindergarten and Black Hill Primary School community are pleased to have the opportunity to support each other and ensure that the children have the best pre-school education possible.
