Digital Technologies

Black Hill Primary School places a great emphasis on the use of Digital Technologies to support the curriculum. Teachers and students use a variety of Communication Technologies to enhance an interactive learning environment.  In 2016, we introduced a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) iPad program for Years 3-5, with Year 6 optional. Next year this will be run in Years 3-6. See the 'BYOD Information' tab for more details about this exciting initiative. Netbooks are currently utilised in the P-2 classrooms, and we are looking at introducing a variety of devices into this area next year.

Interactive whiteboards and data projectors or large screen TVs are utilised in every classroom, enabling interactive instruction and the development of independence and students led activities.

Lessons incorporating eLearning activities are integrated across all curriculum domains and are designed to enhance the teaching and learning, whilst assisting students to meet specific learning outcomes.
